If you love music, this is a pretty cool concept with a very retro feel

What’s that across the road? Shall we go in and see? “Yes, because you can’t really tell what it is from the outside.” “Hopefully they will serve some food, but it doesn’t look likely…” Appearing totally random (normal for Los Angeles), we approached the front door, and peeked inside to see if we could find anybody. It was completely empty. The lights were on, outside and in, so I opened the doors full whack and walked inside. A young girl spotted me and rushed towards us with a big smile. “How can we help? Come on in!” She beamed.

“Do you serve food and is the kitchen still open?” “Yes, of course, let me fetch a menu for you, it’s just small things like tacos and pizza, which we can also do gluten-free. Is this ok?” (Us still standing close to the door unsure whether to enter,) the host gave us a nudge - “Come and take a look around, and have a seat!” And it was a good job we did. If you love music, this is a pretty cool concept with a very retro feel. It’s all decked out - a huge tiger mural, velvet couches, neon accents (even a disco ball), integrating a slick bar which is the central part. Very rock and roll of the 70’s and it plays next to the Aviator Nation shop which you will find next door.
I started to have a chat with the server: “I didn’t know this was here to be fair, it’s really nice” “Ah thank you, we have live music nights and also a breakfast club on a Monday morning, which might be too late for some,” she giggled. “It gathers the music industry community to come together.” “That’s great, good to know!” By the way, we are ready to order, I will take the tacos and for my guest the gluten-free pizza you suggested. “Coming right up.”
We were the only ones here, which gave us permission to completely lounge and slouch on one of the shapely, yellow velvet sofas, feeling as if we had been transported to another place in another time. And the food was very acceptable, freshly made tacos to munch at our own pace, and having something available for somebody with a gluten intolerance always scores high. We took our time drinking and eating whilst enjoying the vibes, ones that have long gone in this day and age. It was too easy to linger, but we got up to leave and thanked everyone on our way out. “Thanks for saving our night, we will have to come back for the music!” “Awesome, see you there!” This, I am sure, will give a real impression of the revival of this Malibu music landmark.
